About Caiti Price Dog Training

Hey! I'm Caiti and I know that you CAN build a better life with your dog. I believe in you! I see the efforts that you've made already and that you just need some more help. Whether you are struggling with reactivity, trying to stop pulling or trying to figure out how to help your new puppy or dog adjust to their new home, I am here for you to reach your goals.

I find that most important thing is that you, the owner, gets the skills and understanding to work, live and train your own dog. I want to be your guide and your help as you reach towards your goals with your four legged family member. Following science and positive reinforcement methods, I work through making your dog WANT to work with you. I want to find all the ways we can tell your dog 'YES!" not 'No!'. I follow training that is least intrusive and minimal aversive (LIMA). More info on LIMA can be found here.

Caiti Price

I've spent the last 12 years working in the animal field. Over that time I've held positions like; vet assistant, bather, dog walker, exercise rider, wrangler, animal caretaker, and (of course) animal trainer. I've been training professionally for over 5 years and training for the public for 3.

Over the years I've worked with and trained a large variety of animals. Exotics, livestock, horses, cats, and a large variety of dogs. I used to compete with my late horse, Jake, and currently compete in a handful of events with my dog, Aayla.

I am an avid outdoor enthusiast that hikes, backpacks, climbs, paraglides, snowboards and other hobbies I happen to pick up. When possible, I also have my dog with me and understand the unique needs for our dogs with these activities.

Aayla

Aayla is my 8 year old Australian Shepherd that I have raised since she was a puppy. She is my helper, sport partner and outdoor companions. She often helps out with my clients that struggle around other dogs. She works with my reactive, fearful and overly excited clients learn to have neutrality and confidence around other dogs. She also can help my people clients learn some skills with a dog that already knows the skills we are working on.

Aayla is competing in (or has competed in) Obedience, Rally Obedience, Agility and Dock Diving. She currently has achieved the following titles:

UD - Utility Obedience (High Level)
RM -Rally Master (High level)
RAE - Rally Advanced Excellent (High level)
AX - Agility Excellent Standard (High level)
OAJ - Agility Open Jumpers (Middle level)
OF - Agility Open FAST (Middle level)

Her Highness

Rebel

The newest member of the team is Rebel! She is a 1 year old domestic shorthair we adopted when she was a kitten. Rebel is still learning the ropes but works as a demo pet for learning skills as well as learning to be a distraction and help with socializing for my clients.

Rebel walks on a leash and currently hikes and travels with us. Her longest adventure to date was an overnight backcountry ski trip to a yurt that was 14 miles round trip. (She gets the luxury of a ride in the backpack when she needs it)

Don't let anyone tell you a cat can't be trained! She currently knows about 5 different cues and is learning more as we go.
